When Ben Goddard supplied these pictures of Lake Vyrnwy in 2014, it was assumed that this installation was a typical self help transposer system, relaying TV transmissions from The Wrekin. In July 2017, Thomas Pain contacted mb21 clarifying the set up here. The installation is a receive head end for a cable distribution system. The two horizontal Yagis received English TV from The Wrekin, while the vertical Yagi received Welsh TV from Long Mountain and the satellite dish received Channel 5. The system was originally installed in 1976 distributing TV and FM radio, but was decommissioned at digital switchover.

The two horizontal UHF Yagis are pointing towards The Wrekin. The vertical UHF Yagi is
pointing towards Long Mountain. The satellite dish points towards Astra 2 at 28 degrees east.
