Show historic services

July 2016

This site was originally established by the ITA as means of providing the 405-line ITV programme feed from Arfon to Moel-y-Parc. The small square tower seen in my second picture may have been part of this installation. There is a link to a 405 Alive newsletter about this at the foot of this page.

BBC DAB entered service on 29th February 2016. North Wales DAB was added on the 11th August 2016.

DAB aerials are on the top of the left, square cross section tower.

Two band III dipoles for DAB transmit.

On the left you can see the top of the satellite receive dish providing the DAB programme feed.

Pages 15 - 18 of this 405 Alive newletter has details of the history of this site.

This site is now included in the Update List for the following reason:
Community Radio station MonFM added. Aerial at 28m
