This is the Wirksworth relay for Ashbourne Radio. It entered service in July 2010, and is 45 watts omnidirectional. Wirksworth operates on the same frequency as Ashbourne Radio's Uttoxeter relay, about 15 miles away.

The antenna is 10 metres above ground.

The receive antenna pointing towards Ashbourne Radio's main site at Windmill Lane in Ashbourne. There is a slight hiss on the transmissions - I wonder if the tree is to blame?
