Wirral Radio moved their TX here from Woodchurch in July 2014. This site overlooks the northern parts of the Wirral, which is good as Radio 3 from Llanddona is co-channel, and otherwise strong on the Wirral. For a small fee, you can go into the lighthouse at weekends, and see amongst other things Wirral Radio's transmitter.

The antenna system is what looks like a Skymasts Lindenblad antenna becoming more common in community radio.

The incoming programme feed is via SHF link. Wirral Radio's studios are in Leasowe, about a mile away.
