Comments: Relay installed nine months after the fire at Bilsdale. Horizontal polarisation. RBL from Pontop Pike.

This temporary TV transmitter was brought into service on 26-May-2022 to serve viewers on the Durham coast around Blackhall Colliery who may be struggling with reception from the temporary Bilsdale masts built in the aftermath of the fire in August 2021. The Freeview website quotes an ERP of 0.18 kW.




The receive Yagi is pointing towards Pontop Pike.


The transmit array. The log perioidcs on the left are pointing roughly northwest.


All the rooftop aerials in the nearby streets point towards Bilsdale.
