Kent Coast Small Scale DAB site

This is one of three sites for the Kent Coast DAB service which launched in January 2026 (the others being Guston and Broadstairs). Being on the coast there are some rules which mean power radiated towards the continent has some strict limits. That makes the antenna systems more interesting.

A telegraph pole was installed to carry the antennas with a small cabin at the bottom.

The antenna system radiates in both directions along the coast but with minimal signal towards France (and inland).

The site has a fine view across the Kent countryside. Tolsford Hill which transmits the Kent mux is just visible on the ridge to the right of the pole.
