EMLEY MOOR

Pictures taken March 2014

Local TV for Leeds and West Yorkshire has recently started test transmissions from a 8 Tier crossed log shrouded antenna mounted on the framework underneath the link room on the northern side of the tower.

The antenna is located at 258m AGL and from the predicted service area provided by Ofcom the service has a fairly wide coverage serving a large part of Huddersfield, across the majority of West Yorkshire towards villages and towns near York.

It is understood that many of these local TV services are using transmission equipment originally used for transmitting low powered DTT services before DSO.
