Comments: Stranraer is a TV relay of Caldbeck (via Cambret Hill), a relay of Divis for R1-R4 and a relay of Sandale for R Scotland. Pre B700 allocations: 57/60/53.

Stranraer was originally an IBA landlord site which entered service on 29-Jul-1977 to serve 10,000 people. Channel 4 was added in June 1984. DSO was on the 24th June and 22nd July 2009.

BBC FM radio was added in February 1980 on 89.5 / 91.7 / 93.9. These frequencies were changed to
89.7 / 91.9 / 94.1 in 1985, which was the GE84 assignment for this site and Darvel was soon to use the original frequencies. Radio 1 entered service on 11-Mar-1993 and Radio 4 from 1-Oct-1993. The BBC National DAB multiplex entered service on 15-Feb-2010.

FM receive from Divis in Ireland. There are also two receive antennae on other side of mast (can just be seen in mast picture) for Radio Scotland from Sandale.
