Comments: Dumfries South is a relay of Caldbeck. Pre B700 allocations: 43/46/50.

Dumfries South was originally an IBA landlord site which entered service during September 1982 with
Channel 4 available from the November 1982 launch. Originally the programme feed for BBC 1 was Sandale while the other 3 services relayed Caldbeck. In 1992 Sandale commenced transmissions of BBC 2 Scotland. Dumfries South was duly modified to relay that version of BBC 2.

Note that the two receive log periodics are pointing in slightly different directions. 5 degrees different. Upper on Sandale, lower on Caldbeck.

This site is now included in the Update List for the following reason:
DAB aerial added - 32 m agl (atop the tower)
