In preparation for the channel changes required for 700 MHz band clearance at Perth, the UHF transmit cylinder was replaced during June 2019. Also the Channel 5 panels have been removed, with new panels installed to maintain the services during the changeover. 700 MHz clearance is scheduled to be implement at Perth on 27th November 2019 and will see the channels move into upper band IV. UHF ch's 29/31/37. |
The new UHF cylinder at the top with new panel aerials installed on the left side of the tower. These may be only temporary. Lower, on the left is the Angus receive trough aerial, with what looks like the end of a new panel receive aerial below. This will be required post 700 MHz clearance at Angus, which is scheduled for the end of November 2019. |
From this side we can see the loop and dipole band II aerials which transmit ILR. |
