New ILR Antennas - November 2020

After 40 years of service, the ILR loop and dipole transmit aerials have been replaced at Perth.

[Ed]. The loop and dipole transmit aerial was used by the IBA at several ILR sites in the early 1980's. All but one have now been replaced, the remaining installation being at Marlborough.




The new ILR transmit aerials. The panels are facing roughly northeast and west. Note that there are no panels round the other side of the tower.


Note the new UHF panel receive aerial on Angus.
