| Situated off the B4096 in the NW outskirts of Redditch this is possibly one of the lowest powered relays in the country, Redditch puts out just 1.6W and covers small areas of Redditch which are shielded from Sutton Coldfield. Redditch was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service in March 1980 to serve 1860 people. Channel 4 was added on 6-Jun-1986. |

| If all the logs are on Sutton Coldfield then there must be a problem getting an acceptable signal - yet the photos below show relatively normal domestic installations. Perhaps it's not the signal strength which is the issue? (update, see next photo caption) |
| On the subject of the RBL for this site, Guy Stanbury writes: During the 1990s and prior to DSO, the original 'bayed array' log periodic antennas were rearranged by Peter Wagstaff (Antenna STE, Daventry) in order to steer a beam null in the direction of British Leyland's Longbridge paintshop, the metal cladding of which was causing a very strong reflection & resulting 'ghost' on the original analogue service incoming from Sutton Coldfield which was in turn being radiated by the relay station ... and of course, no amount of viewer TV aerial realignment could cure this! Indeed, I recollect Peter telling me that BBC Research Department had calculated the reflected signal as equating to some 250 watts effective radiated power |
| Neil Byng visited the site in May 2011 but the only visible changes - DSO or otherwise - were a coat of paint and an Arqiva sticker on the site sign. |
