DAB added - March 2017

An update on the new DAB antennas. Must be one of the only relays transmitting FM, AM, DAB and television.

BBC national DAB entered service on 4th February 2011.

The DAB antennas point north and south, to cover Haslingden and the towns/villages along the A56 corridor. The power is 1kW.

FM is 100 watts. Despite this, I can receive Haslingden on parts of the M6 through Cheshire.

AM wire pointing eastwards. Power is 200 watts. Coverage includes Blackburn and Burnley in the north, Hebden Bridge in the east, North Manchester in the south, and Preston in the west. The marshy geography of the Pennines no doubt helps propagation.

The two logs still remain looking at Winter Hill. Here's one of them...
