February 2026

After becoming aware that the Ashbourne transmitter for Greatest Hits Radio (formerly Ashbourne Radio) had moved from one end of town (Windmill Lane) to the other (Blenheim Road), I went for a quick trip to the town on a hunt for the site. Given how easy it was to find the new transmitter location (on top of a garage just off a main road), it's safe to say it was a quick trip, even with a trip to the old site to find that all equipment appears to have been removed.

I'm not the best person to comment on the individual elements. The only thing I can confirm is that whilst the signal did cover most of the town without issue, there was a quiet hiss in the background throughout.
