Show historic services

The Slad TV relay is in the middle of some farmland, and to get the close-up photos I had to do a bit of'walking where I shouldn't'! Some of the photos were taken in the summer and some in the autumn, and it's amazing how the field changes from green to brown.

There is a mast visible on the horizon in acouple photos (to the left of the Slad mast) - this is the Stroud transmitter. Notice how Slad uses H pol for both RX and TX. Nailsworth uses the same channels vertically, so maybe this is done to minimise interference between the two.

Slad was originally an IBA landlord site which entered service in October 1980 to serve 530 people. Channel 4 was added on 6-Nov-1987. DSO was on the 24th March and 7th April 2010.
