THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY

KILLIN

Photos by Mike Pratt Page last updated: 2015-06-30

June 2015

Since Bill Wright's visit, the Orange, T Mobile and 3 antennas have been combined into a single set of three sector antennas

The antennas for the incoming feed for the UHF TV transmitter have been replaced

This photogenic site also continues to transmit Vodafone and Airwave, but not O2

Tower painting was about to start at the time the photos were taken

The four VP logs have been replaced by twin yagis, but we understand the normal feed is via an SHF link, probably using the large dish in the centre of the above image

This cropped view shows the two "mystery" HP yagis are still in place just below the transmit array. These were added to provide a better feed to the Crianlarich self-help - which is believed to have closed at DSO

At ground level there is a motley collection of cabinets for the different site sharers

However the terrain and landscape hides them fairly well!
