DECHMONT HILL

Photos by David Neale Page last updated: 2017-05-12

Dechmont Hill is one of a number of fairly high-powered ILR stations sharing the 1152kHz frequency, so most of these sites have directional mast arrays to minimise interference. In this instance, Dechmont Hill is to the southeast of Glasgow and this 3 mast directional array beams to the northwest (330 degrees).

Radio Clyde launched on 31st December 1973 on 1151 kHz, with a small frequency change to 1152 kHz in November 1978.
