This led to some debate as to whether, in fact, Fresh Radio (later Star) had ever used the adjacent Richmond VHF Arqiva site. Although there is no definite conclusion has been reached, Fresh are known to have "self installed" transmitters at other sites. Local broadcast specialists Datatrans Communications were involved with the installation of the AM and FM transmitters, plus a studio at Richmond (see link below)
